Nicole M. Stata
General PartnerNicole M. Stata is a General Partner of Boston Seed Capital, which she founded with Peter Blacklow and David Balter in 2011. Ms. Stata was named in 2013 as one of the top 25 most influential woman in tech in Boston by VentureFiZZ. And in 2015 received the “Rising Star Venture Capitalist” award from The New England Venture Capital Association.From 2008 to 2010, Ms. Stata worked as an angel investor, advisor and COO of Jackpot Rewards.
Stata founded Deploy Solutions in 1996, an award-winning leading provider of SAAS Human Capital Management. As CEO and President, she led Deploy for eleven years through its sale to Kronos in 2007. Deploy was widely recognized as a national best place to work and was the recipient of Deloitte and Touche’s Fast 50 award in 2006. Before Deploy, Stata managed the global service center for Restrac (Webhire) and started her career with Lotus Development Corporation.
Stata serves as an advisor and board member for several companies and non-profit organizations.

Peter Blacklow
General PartnerPeter Blacklow is a General Partner at Boston Seed Capital and is a co-founder of the fund. He makes new investments and serves on several boards, and provides marketing and growth expertise, as well as mentoring to Boston Seed portfolio’s executive teams.
Prior to Boston Seed, Blacklow’s prior business, WorldWinner/FUN Technologies was acquired by Liberty Media and Sony Pictures Television, where he served as EVP of Digital of GSN (Game Show Network). Prior to that, Blacklow was Senior Vice President of Marketing at Monster.com. Before Monster.com, Blacklow ran the $120 million global basketball business unit at Converse.
Blacklow is a graduate of Harvard University and has received numerous awards and distinctions, including being named one of the nation’s top “Marketers of the Year” by Promo Magazine.

Eileen Rocchio
VP Finance/ControllerEileen Rocchio has been with Boston Seed Capital since 2013, first joining as Controller and currently serving as Vice President of Finance. She has twenty-five years of accounting and finance experience in technology and venture. Her professional background comprises start-ups, small and mid-sized companies.
Eileen started her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers and became a Manager in Technology practice providing audit and related services to high technology, bio tech, and manufacturing clients. After PricewaterhouseCoopers, she joined Deploy Solutions, a privately held software and services company, up until the company’s acquisition by Kronos. Eileen then joined The Sagent Group, a group of privately held professional services businesses operating in the healthcare and technology industries, as the Director of Finance. After Sagent, she served as the Controller for Qteros, Inc., a privately held biofuels and engineering company, backed by Venrock Associates, Battery Venture, BP AE Ventures and Soros Fund Management. Eileen received a BA in Economics from Brown University and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Massachusetts.

Anupam Ghildyal
Venture PartnerAnupam is a Partner at Boston Seed Capital. He has been integral in building over ten startups, serving as a co-founder, founding team member, or founding investor across the manufacturing, materials, energy, and technology sectors. He co-founded three companies focused on breakthrough innovations and has helped launch over 20 products, raised over $1 billion in funding, and established manufacturing and sales operations across the globe.
Prior to joining Boston Seed Capital, Ghildyal led Technology and Corporate Development at VulcanForms, a Boston Seed Capital portfolio company and leader in fully integrated digital manufacturing for critical metal components.
Ghildyal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Engineering Management.

Troy Simpson
AssociateTroy is an Associate at Boston Seed, focusing on investing and portfolio company support across all of the firm’s verticals. Prior to joining Boston Seed, Troy was a member of the buyside sourcing team at Alpine Investors, where he facilitated acquisitions across Alpine’s software and services portfolio. He began his career as a B2B SaaS investor at Five Elms Capital where he executed and supported investments in ContractSafe, a contract management platform, and Opiniion, a resident satisfaction and reputation management platform.
Troy holds a Master of Science in Finance from Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Temple University.
